Foxxy Games - April 17th 2024 Update

Hey everyone, Foxxy here! Been a while, hasn't it? I have some pretty big updates to provide, so I thought I'd share and discuss everything going on in the life of the fox.

First off, take a look at the website, anything look different? The site overhaul has been released! Or, well, not fully. Some stuff is being finalized and adjusted, but mostly everything is there! I'll be mostly finishing any updates in May, but as of right now, this is how everything looks so far! Hope you enjoy looking at all the snazzy new changes to the site!

Second, I thought I'd give a small update to everything projects wise, and give a small update as to my active plans. I'll quickly go over each game and discuss what my next goals are for each of them.

First off, Slendytubbies III R, my primary and currently only fully revealed project, has had a lot of progress made as of late. A huge amount of programming work has been done on the player character, and a lot of progress has been also made on the in game maps. As of right now, in the near future, five maps are primarily being worked on, three of which are being properly produced. The Mainland is considered in a complete state, but some additional updates to the foliage and materials, as well as some models are being done. The Outpost MA-14 map is pretty far along, but due to dissatisfaction with how certain parts of the map turned out, I want to take some more additional time to change some aspects, including completely overhauling the upstairs section of the map. Finally, The Sewers, I had made the decision to entirely redo, and right now I have a new idea on how each of the three current sewer maps will be done, and likely The Sewers will be one of my primary focuses when I get back to work. The other two maps one of which being The Cave and the other one I don't plan to reveal until the AI Showcase Demo. Those two maps have their entire layouts designed, but I wont begin work on those until the other three maps are done and the player character is a bit further along, but once that's finished I'll be beginning work on The Cave and the other map! Once Foxa's model is done (its around 95% complete, and is the only thing I'll be doing during my break) I'll be continuing to work on the character models, or at least the main teletubby characters. The monster characters will be modeled after the main characters have been done, and in total there will be around 6-7 monsters which will appear in either the AI Showcase Demo or Prologue Demo, so those will be modeled first. I hope to accomplish most of this later this year.

Project White Sapphire has been going well in the planning department, and currently a roadmap has been created for the project during the initial prototyping stages. Likely sometime in the third quarter of 2024 I will begin prototyping work on the game, after the creation of at least two or three vehicle models. I cant speak too much on the project, but I anticipate prototyping will last one to two quarters, at which point the game will have all of it's plans fully assessed, and the game will most likely be ready to enter full scale production.

Now for Project Rise, the Previsualization Test is generally shaped, and while it isn't fully animated, it has a fair amount of work done, enough to where I can feel comfortable leaving it there for a bit. In the meanwhile I am currently working on getting the environments fully designed with all the small details, and once the environments have been fully designed and I have both Foxa and her Bowler EXR S fully modeled, I will begin work on the final animation. I'm pretty excited for this, and I think its going to turn out really damn cool once its done!

For the last three projects developed primarily by Foxxy Games, Nassits, Tail, and Horizon Line, the first and third ones have basic builds created, while Tail has a baseline build to go off of. Once I get back from my break, likely I will be quick to create an update to each of them to add some additional stuff to help with some more environments I plan in the future. I wont say too much, but there's definitely some cool ideas inspired by recent events that I have in mind!

Originally I was going to make this a long long blog post, however after rereading it I decided to shorten it down, mostly due to it being a bit too wordy (hence why its taken a bit before this post would come out) but hopefully it gives you a good idea on the current state of things! Welp, I have a break for the rest of this month to go on, so how about I get right to that, shall I? I'll see you all soon! Thanks for listening and supporting me!
