Foxxy Games - Press Release August 2023


Hello everyone, and welcome to the Foxxy Games August 2023 Press Release. The purpose of this post is to fill in all the details in regards to what has been happening over the past 4 months, what is expected to happen in the next 4 months, and what will be happening in the distant future. I will also be giving a general status update in regards to all 5 of the projects I am involved in. However, before we talk about that, there’s something I wish to mention.

This post is not the most friendly post out there, as it is intensely focused on providing large amounts of detail, and as a result, for those wanting just a quick update on progress, this won’t be very easy to read. Ch 1. The Current State of Things

First of all, I wanna start off with the current state of everything that is happening as of August 16 2023. As of right now, three projects are in development, Project Dead Reeds (Slendytubbies III R), Project Rise (Untitled Animation Project), and Project White Sapphire (Untitled Racing Game). I am also working to set up Commissions and a Patreon for people to be able to pay me, either via tipping, or commissioning me to work for them. As well as this, I am working on releasing a build of the canceled project, The Return To Freddy’s 5 for people to enjoy, and am working with another team for a tech demo of Popgoes 2: The Dead Forest.

Ch 1.1. Slendytubbies III R/Project Dead Reeds

Slendytubbies III R is a physiological and survival horror game and rpg hybrid, centered around a teletubby named The Guardian, who is responsible for keeping an eye on 4 Teletubbies within a mysterious location called “The Mainland”. However, one day, after their technology began to fail, they prepared to find a solution, unknowing that within the Mainland, things were going horribly wrong. The game involves survival, stealth, resource management, and some minor combat elements, with the player having to survive against mysterious creatures and mutants.


The game itself is currently in its pre-alpha stage, with most of the game planned out. Right now the Prologue of the game is being worked on, in preparation for a Prologue Demo, however it is nowhere near complete, and it is not yet playable. A work in progress Prologue Prototype is currently being made, and is expected to be complete by the end of the year, though it is still being constructed at this time. There is currently some progress made towards certain systems, like parkour systems, inventory systems, interactables, physics, and especially AI Systems.


When it comes to the game’s levels, there are three levels currently being worked on when it comes to Production, The Mainland, The Sewers, and Outpost MA-14, though two other maps, The Caves, and The Processed School are also being actively worked on when it comes to planning, and likely will be worked on after the current three levels, prologue prototype, and character models are done. More detail can be found further down upon the three levels.

Ch 1.2. Untitled Animation Project/Project Rise

Project Rise is an Untitled Animation Project expected to be around 5-6 minutes in length, and is currently being created by Foxxy Games. It is currently in its mid stages of Pre-Production, and is having a previsualization test being made for it. It is primarily intended as a test animation, and is intended to have a semi-basic story, with one character, though it will feature highly complex environments and several highly detailed vehicle models.


Currently, it is in the middle of its pre-production, and has had conceptual artwork, a rough draft script, some models, and some rough environments created for it. There is also a Previsualization Test being made for it, which will be a rough version of the final animation to figure out how the final animation will be created. Right now, this Previsualization Test has been fully planned, and is entering its second phase, which will involve the creation of the first draft of animation. Once this second phase is complete, a first edit will be made, and from there, further adjustments will be made, before a final version will be shown to test audiences.

Ch 1.3. Untitled Racing Game/Project White Sapphire

Project White Sapphire is an Untitled and Unannounced Racing Game being developed by Foxxy Games, and is currently in its early stages of Pre-Production. The game is intended to be an open world story-based racing game, which will involve the player participating in races across the playable world, using vehicles the player has purchased and against racers they will interact with through their story. The game will also involve the player making decisions which affect their story, other characters, the player’s career, and more.


The game is currently in the early stages of Pre-Production, and most of the work is being focused on planning towards the game’s mechanics, story, and prototypes, though there has also been a good amount of planning towards world design, world building, visual design, track design, menu design, and character designs. Right now there is a huge focus on the design aspects for the vehicles and their controls, and while work has barely begun in this region, it is going to be a major focus within the next two months in regards to planning.

Ch 1.4. Commissions/Patreon

There are plans to allow for people to commission me or support my work via Patreon. Currently, some work has been done in regards to this region, including the creation of a personal bank account, the creation of a commission ref sheet, and progress towards a commissions page on my website. Currently a Paypal is planned to be created for people to pay me, as well as a page for my Patreon for people to use. This is hoped to be accomplished by the end of August.

Ch 1.5. Separate Projects

There are currently a few other projects that are being worked on alongside my mainline projects. These projects are either small side projects, or projects I am assisting the development of. Currently I am, on the side, working on two smaller projects, those being a release for a build of the canceled The Return To Freddy’s 5, and some environments for a Tech Demo of Popgoes 2: The Dead Forest, an unofficial fan revival of the canceled sequel to Popgoes.


For The Return To Freddy’s 5, the build is planned to feature 3 explorable areas, 2 enemies, basic gameplay mechanics, a few minigames, and menu customization. Currently, a fair amount of this has been accomplished, though a good amount of work needs to be done. The build is as of right now, around 20% complete. Currently the build is aimed to be released around September 2023, though this may vary as this is simply a side project.


In regards to Popgoes 2, I have begun the basic work on the blockouts for the game’s environments. Due to me primarily focusing on personal projects, not a lot of work has been done in this project, though more work is hopefully to be done later this year.

Ch 2. The Previous Four Months

Over the prior four months, a lot of work has been done on my projects. This has been especially true in regards to environments, as a lot of progress has been made there. There has been a bit of slowness when it comes to some stuff, but there’s still been a good amount of progress made on all tasks from the previous four months.

Ch 2.1. Mainland

The Mainland was primarily worked on from May to June, and was considered complete by July. Pretty much everything was completely done and ironed out, though there were some small tasks which remained, they have been done on the side during the months of July and August. Currently, there are a few more changes and additions I would like to make to the Mainland, such as more optimization, some additional decorations and details, and some additional improvements to the level, however excluding this, the level is pretty much complete.

Ch 2.2. Website Update 2.0

Another major stride made during the months of May-August 2023, is that a major update to the Foxxy Games website was published, that being Website Update v2.0. This completely overhauled the entire site, upgrading a lot of previously outdated or unpolished sections, as well as adding new pages and sections to the site. More additions are planned for the website, but the website is in a very good state.

Ch 2.3. The Sewers Progress

The Sewers are a task that are currently being worked on, having originally begun work in June 2023, and are still being worked on. Originally there were hopes of the level being complete by August 2023, though it is clear that more work needs to be done when it comes to planning. As of right now, a good majority of the planning has to be done, though to increase productivity, modeling work will also be worked on alongside further detailed planning within the second half of August.


Most of the planning regarding environmental hazards, objects, and progression are done, it's simply the layout work that needs to be finished. As of right now, one of the four levels has been semi-finalized, with the layout currently being implemented into Unreal Engine to confirm its finalization. The other three levels

Ch 2.4. Commissions/Patreon Progress

Over the past 4 months, I’ve been working on the side to try and get Commissions and a Patreon setup as a form of income for the future. This has taken a bit longer then expected due to issues in regards to my bank account, however now that I have a proper account, I am currently attempting to get myself a Paypal for people to be able to commission me and pay me. This is going to take a bit, but hopefully everything will be set up by the end of the month.

Ch 2.5. Project Rise Previsualization Test Progress

Project Rise is currently having a Previsualization Test being created for it, and so far, a good amount of progress has been made when it comes to the planning and preparation for the project. Currently, the environment is done, as well as the rough draft for the script for the project. The current next priority is getting the animation made for the project. Besides that, there is also some other stuff that’ll be done, like some more basic concept art.

Ch 3. The Upcoming Four Months

Over the past four months, a primary focus has been on game environments, and during the next four months, there will still be a focus on that, however, that is primarily just going to be for the first two months of September and October 2023. During the months of November and December there will be a bigger focus on primarily Character Models, as long as all three environments are completed by the end of October.

Ch 3.1. The Sewers

During the month of September, there will be a much heavier focus on the production side of The Sewers, including modeling, programming, and animating. The first half of the month will focus on creating all the models, while the second half will involve adding all the additional details and polish to the level while also improving the models. It is hoped that by the end of September things will be complete.

Ch 3.2. Project Rise Previsualization Test

By September, all of the first draft animation will be complete, and from there, work will begin on the editing, and during the second half of the month adjustments will be made as is deemed necessary. By the end of the month, the final version of the animation should be finished, completing the Previsualization Test. After that, there will be some private screenings during the month of October, but besides that, the Project Rise Previsualization Test will be complete, and from there, while assets are being made, further plans and edits to the script will be done until the finalized midpoint draft is created, and from there, once all the required assets have been produced, production will begin, which is expected to begin in January of 2024.

Ch 3.3. Outpost MA-14

Outpost MA-14 is the third level of Slendytubbies III R, and is planned to begin work in September. The level will, similarly to the Mainland, consist of one level, and has been fully planned out. This level is hopefully going to be produced fairly quickly through the months of September and October, though may take longer if need be. The first part of September will have the level’s plans be finalized and a basic layout be made within Unreal Engine. During the second half, The Sewers will be mostly done, so heavy focus will be put on the Outpost, primarily with all of its models and assets. This is expected to take until the middle of October to be complete, and from there, polish work will be done, along with a big cleaning and final polish of all other levels.

Ch 3.4. Foxa Character Model

Currently there are plans for a character model to be made of Foxa, a character used to represent myself online. This model is planned to feature a full body and head with extensive detail, including fur, clothing, and more, all of which will be fully rigged. Her model is planned to begin work in October with the body and head molds, and during the month of November, her model will be ironed out, and her details added, along with her fluff and clothing, primarily during the first half. The second half will mostly focus on rigging her character and adding any extra polish to her model.

Ch 3.5. Chibi Foxa Character Model

During the month of November, along with Foxa’s model, a chibi version will be made. This model won't feature as many details, nor clothing, however it will still feature dynamic fur. This model will be a major test of the fur, as there is an aim to get the fur just right for when work begins on the Base Teletubby Model, so this acts as a proper test for the fur.

Ch 3.6. Base Teletubby Model

Starting November, I will be beginning work on a base model for the teletubbies. This model is being designed to serve as the base for all Teletubby Characters I models for Slendytubbies III R, the models of which will begin work in mid 2024. This model will be heavily customizable and modifiable in order to easily create new characters which can look unique and different from one another. The model will also feature support for clothing, dynamic fur, body and facial rigging, and more features to really make the characters shine. During November, the body and head models will begin work, and during the first half of December, the models will be ironed out and be usable in a very basic form for prototyping in Slendytubbies III R before I go on break for the holidays.

Ch 3.7. October 2023-December 2024 Project Event

For one of the projects I am working on, I have plans to unveil a huge amount of information. My aim is to try and publish this on October 31st of 2023, however, there is a possibility that this might take longer than expected. If this does occur, then I will instead push this back to Mid-December 2023. This will involve a complete project page, an estimated 2-3 minute trailer, a publishing of ~20 screenshots, a devlog release, and potentially more.

Ch 4. Future Goals From January 2023-April 2024

Currently, I have a fair amount of plans set for the beginning of 2024 after I return from holiday. After I wrap up work on the base model for the teletubbies, my new focus will go from character models to Vehicle models. Three models will be made, as well as a tool which will be used to demonstrate those cars, which will allow me to control the cars on a keyboard, mouse, and potentially even a wheel, if it is decided that investing within a wheel for prototyping would be worth it. This tool will eventually also be used for Project White Sapphire, as detailed within Chapter 4.2. During the month of March and the first half of April, I will spend a majority of my time on doing three major tasks, those being upgrading my website, overhauling my socials, and creating an environment to showcase my abilities within my Portfolio..

Ch 4.1. Bowler EXR S Car Model

The first vehicle I will be working on will be the Bowler EXR S. This model will begin work during January, and out of all the models, I am expecting this one to take the longest, as the vehicle tool will have a lot of it’s primary features and systems developed alongside this car, and as a result, there will have to be a lot of work done to get everything functional with the Bowler. With future cars, as more of the systems are finished, they should require less time the be implemented and finalized.

Ch 4.2. Vehicle Tool/Project White Sapphire Prototype

Sometime during January, I will begin work on what will not only act as a tool for demonstrating vehicles I model, but also act as the prototype for Project White Sapphire. These early prototype builds will primarily be focused both on giving the vehicles good controls and physics, as well as the basic open world gameplay systems. By the time I go on break in Mid-April 2024, I am expecting the prototype will feature a very basic open world, the ability to purchase and own vehicles, and to participate in races. This won’t be the end of the prototyping, however this is what I am expecting will be done by this time.

Ch 4.3. Porsche Panamera Car Model

After the Bowler EXR S, I will begin work on the Porshe Panamera, which will act as a test for using separate vehicles in the Vehicle Tool. This will allow for the tool to really be ironed out when it comes to kinks in regards to adding new vehicles. This will also allow the testing of multiple different control types and physics for different cars.

Ch 4.4. Lamborghini Car Model

The final car that will be modeled in this period will be the Lamborghini, which will be the final major test for importing cars into the Vehicle Tool. This should be able to be done in a very quick pace, and from there will allow me to focus on the other more important tasks for prototyping Project White Sapphire. Regardless of speed, the quality will match that of the other cars, if not exceed it. Once this vehicle is done, all prototyping with Project White Sapphire will be completely prioritized on gameplay and openworld.

Ch 4.5. Website v3.0

There are plans for a major update to the website to be published on April 17th, 2024. This major update will primarily be meant to give a nice glow to the place and really make it feel special. This update will also completely upgrade the portfolio, giving it a nice upgrade and showing everything I’ve worked on over the past year, as well as just generally updating all the information to make sure it is 100% correct.

Ch 4.6. Portfolio Showcase Environment

There will be an environment created to act as a banner for the Portfolio Page of my website. This will feature a car model, the three character models of Foxa, Chibi Foxa, and the Base Teletubby, and a cliff-side environment with a distant mountainscape and city. The purpose of this is to very easily show in one photo my skills at creating environments, characters, and vehicles, all in a simple, eye-catching, and effective form.

Ch 4.7. Updated Socials/Portfolio

The last major thing I plan to do for the May 2023-April 2024 time-frame is updating all of my social media accounts. The purpose of this is to properly sync them all together, as well as cleaning them up with detailed branding, including new profile pictures, new banners, better descriptions, and more.

Ch 5. Predictions for May 2024-April 2025

Most of the May 2023-April 2024 time-frame is planned out, however, when it comes to May 2024-April 2025, there is no real certainty. These are all just predictions on what will happen from May and beyond, and may be immensely inaccurate as to what will truly happen. Do not take these as promises, as these are likely to be incorrect.

Ch 5.1. Slendytubbies III R Character Models

One of the first tasks I hope to do in the May 2024-April 2025 time-frame is creating several of the models for the game’s characters, specifically those intended to appear within the game’s Prologue. This includes characters such as Tinky Winky, Dipsy, Laa Laa, Po, The Guardian, and one other unrevealed character. These are hoped to be finished by Mid 2024, and from there, teasers and screenshots will be unveiled of these brand new characters, all of which will be done in a fashion which will entertain those waiting for the game.

Ch 5.2. Project Rise Production

During 2024, full scale production is going to begin on Project Rise, after the final version of the script is made, as well as the name being finally decided upon. This will be done over an expected 4-6 month long period, and after the completion, promotional material will be created and released up to a release date, which is anticipated to be somewhere from Q3-Q4 of 2024.

Ch 5.3. Project White Sapphire

For Project White Sapphire, I am predicting that it will finish its pre-production sometime late in the year, and will be fully planned out. From there, I am estimating that by October, full scale production will begin, leading to what I am hoping will be the game’s official reveal in Early 2025. From there, the game will continue development as per usual.

Ch 5.3.1. Pre-production

When it comes to Pre Production, I am anticipating that the game’s scale will be fully decided upon already by the time May 2024 comes around, and from there, most of the planning will revolve around the game’s story and characters, as well as the world and it’s design/locations. From this point, the last focus will be preparing the game for its production, making sure everything is fully ironed out and getting the whole game ready to begin work.

Ch 5.3.2. Production

For the production side of things, the first thing that will likely begin work is the game’s world, and creating a rough version of it to allow for the implementation of the game’s content. The expectation is by the end of 2024, there will be a rough version of the world, and from there, I can focus on creating basic versions of the game’s races, playable story, and gameplay.

Ch 5.4. Slendytubbies III R

When it comes to Slendytubbies III R, this is going to be the time-frame where I am expecting a lot of work to be done, and there are heavy hopes for playable demos to be released during this time frame. Nothing is solidly planned, but this is when I am hoping to release two demos, one of the game’s prologue, and one which is intended to show the Prologue, more details of which can be found below.

Ch 5.4.1. Production

By May 2024, a prototype of the Prologue should have already been created, so from this point onward, there will be both a focus on creating a detailed version of the Prologue and also creating more complex systems for the game’s AI for the monsters the player will encounter. The primary goal by the end of this time frame is to have both a fully playable Prologue and fully playable AI Showcase Demo.

Ch 5.4.2. Prologue Demo

There are currently plans for a Prologue Demo for the game. Currently, there are hopes to release this demo sometime around Q3 2024-Q2 2023. It's not fully certain if this will be the case, but this is what I am hoping for during this time. This demo would contain the game’s entire Prologue, featuring several different story routes, as well as very basic gameplay, a large amount of story, a few encounters with one of the game’s enemies, as well as a small playable section and a few teasers for Chapter 1 of the game.

Ch 5.4.3. AI Demo

Alongside the Prologue Demo, there is currently an aim to release a small AI demo meant to showcase the game’s sophisticated AI, as well as testing it with a large number of players to help iron it out. This demo is planned to contain 3-5 playable levels, as well as a few monsters which the player will be able to go against. The player will be given different objectives depending on the map, varying from collecting items to escaping the environment they are in. Currently, detailed plans for this demo are not complete, however a general idea on the whole demo is finished, and right now the exact details are being conceptified and written to paper.

Ch 6. The Future of My Projects

The last thing that this press release will cover is the anticipated future of all Foxxy Games projects I am involved in, excluding Popgoes 2: The Dead Forest. Keep in mind, these are just what I am expecting to occur, and as previously stated, it is very difficult to predict the future, so these may be inaccurate.

Ch 6.1. Slendytubbies III R

As previously stated, there are plans for a Prologue Demo to release in Late 2024 or Early 2025, as well as an AI Demo around the same time. After the release of these two demos, there will be a large analysis of data in regards to the reception of these demos. The purpose of this is to hopefully be able to improve the game as it is developed in the future, as well as for future projects. After these demos are released, there will be patches and small updates to them, and once they are in a mostly bug free state, a break will be taken, then the data analysis will be performed, and then finally I will continue work on the game. From this point, the next focus will be on the game’s first chapter.


The development on Chapter 1 will be done on its own, and will primarily be done on its own in order to more easily test the AI. The hope is that by Autumn 2025, the Chapter will be fully playable in a basic form, and from there, once it is deemed fully playable, there will be work done to transform it into a playable demo for the public, which is anticipated to be done by Late 2025. The reason for the shorter amount of development time is due to the fact that a few of the levels will have already been made, and as well as this, the game’s systems, especially the AI Systems, will be almost completely made, and from this point, all that would need to be done is the adding of content to create Chapter 1. This demo would feature several more locations, story decisions, and would also begin to feature proper gameplay, and will really give players an idea on the game’s gameplay.


After the Chapter 1 demo is released, the game’s development will change in a very major way. From this point onward, the game will go from developing one chapter at a time, to working on all of the game’s chapters at once. From this point, my focus will go to creating an extremely basic version of each chapter and the gameplay within said chapter. This is expected to be complete by Summer of 2026, and from this point onward, my main focus will be on Chapters 2 and 3, as during this time, the detailed scripts for Chapters 2 and 3 should be finalized, so while Chapters 4 and 5 get their detailed scripts, Chapters 2 and 3 will be made in a much more complete form. Once Chapters 2 and 3 are mostly complete, Chapters 4 and 5 will begin to be further completed, and Chapters 6 and 7 will be given their detailed scripts.


After this point, once Chapters 4 and 5 are at their near final stages, I may consider the idea of a Chapter 2 demo. The purpose of this demo is less to test systems and mechanics publicly, but more in order to give people something to help wait out the rest of the game’s development until it is fully released. If a Chapter 2 does not happen, any publicly revealed screenshots and trailers will only consist of Chapters 2 and 3, with the other chapters being kept a complete secret from the public until launch. If a Chapter 2 demo does happen though, Chapters 4 will also be publicly shown off as well with the other chapters of the game.


Once Chapters 4 or 5 are at their near final states, while Chapters 6 and 7 are worked on to be put into their near final stage, Chapters 2-7 or 3-7 (depending on if the demo was released or not, if a demo is chosen to be released Chapter 2 will already be at its final state) will begin to be finally polished up for release. By the time the rest of the chapters are finally polished and launch ready, Chapters 6 and 7 will be nearly final, and those two chapters will be the last priority, After they are finally fully polished, one last final pass will be done over all the chapters for any room to add additional polish, and from there it's bug fixing time. All of the chapters will be looked through by a group of testers in order to locate bugs and provide fixes to them. This is anticipated to take a few months, and around this time it should already be sometime mid 2027, so around late 2027, the game will be bug free, and a finalized build will be compiled. From there, a release date will be set and work will begin on a day 1 patch for the game, as well as a gameplay trailer, cinematic trailer, webpage overhaul, and more for the release of the game.

Ch 6.2. Project Rise

While I do not believe there will be much of a future past 2024, I still thought I should mention the effects of Project Rise and what may result after it is released. Project Rise is intended as a test animation to help properly dive into the animation sphere, and to really give a proper idea on how animated projects could go in the future. While Project Rise might be a simple project, its purpose is very complex, and will act as essentially the beginning for any future animated projects of mine, though likely future projects would be more complex, and would likely take the form of an animation series or animated film instead of a simple animated music video. It may however be possible for more projects like Project Rise to be possible with other songs. More animations have already been conceptified, such as an animation based on CHVRCHES’ “Bury It”, or Diplo and Sleepy Tom’s “Be Right There” songs.

Ch 6.3. Project White Sapphire

For Project White Sapphire, it is intended to be a decently sized game, and while it won't be anything big, it will still contain a good amount of content for players to enjoy. The game is hoped to enter production Mid-2024, and to be properly announced with a trailer, webpage, and event in Early 2025, possibly around February or March 2025. I am anticipating the game will release sometime around Q3 or Q4 of 2026, however it is impossible to be certain on this point, as the project is still just in its planning stages of development. It is very unlikely the game will receive any public demos, however it will have several trailers, devlogs, and media events leading up to its release to the public audience.

Ch 7. Conclusion

This concludes the August 2023 Press Release from Foxxy Games. A lot of progress has been made over the past 4 months, and a lot more progress is expected to be made over the next 4 months, as well as in the future. The upcoming Media Event will hopefully really show off what a Foxxy Games Project is capable of, and when products begin to release, people will truly get an idea as to what I am capable of. The next Foxxy Games Press Release will be the December 2023 Press Release, though calendar posts will be released on the 1st and 16th of every month, the next one releasing September 1st 2023, so for a simple peek into what is happening with Foxxy Games, please refer to those until the December Press Release.
